How to Boil the Perfect Hard-Boiled Egg

- Get a pot of water boiling, with one teaspoon of salt for every quart of water.

- Place eggs in pot and cook for 10 minutes.

- After 10 minutes, turn off the stove and let the eggs be in the pot for five more minutes.

- Remove eggs from pot with a slotted spoon or spatula and place in an ice bath to cool them off quickly.

- Peel under cold running water while holding egg under cold running water.
